Is this like the “Bolsillos” feature in my bank (Bancolombia, Davivienda, Nequi, Bold)?

No. A bank’s “bolsillos” are compartments to separate money within that specific bank. Bolsillos App is something different: a method to plan and organize ALL your money — what you have in Bancolombia, in Davivienda, in Nequi, in cash, in dollars — before you spend it.

If your money is spread across multiple places (typical when you’re a freelancer or have variable income), Bolsillos App gives you a single view. Your bank’s bolsillos only see the money in that specific bank.

Bolsillos App doesn’t compete with your bank’s bolsillos — it complements them. If you have interest-earning savings somewhere, those stay where they are; Bolsillos App helps you know how much money you have available to spend this month without touching them.

Is it safe to use Bolsillos App with my money?

Yes, 100%. All your information is stored locally on your phone, encrypted with AES-256. There’s no server of ours that stores it, no cloud, no tracking. Not even we can see your data.

I already tried Excel and failed. Why would this work?

Because Bolsillos App does the heavy lifting for you. You don’t have to create formulas or maintain a spreadsheet. Log an expense in seconds — even with your voice — and the app does the math.

What happens if I lose my phone?

With Pro, you have automatic iCloud backup that you can restore on any iPhone. With the Free plan, you can manually export your backup and save it wherever you want.

Does it connect to my bank?

Not yet. Manually logging expenses (or with voice) is part of the experience — it keeps you aware of your money. Open Finance integration is on the roadmap for 2027.
